Cole shares his mom's love of
crazy socks. This is not a mismatched
pair of socks but the actual pair.

Fun at Uncle Johns

On Saturday, we took Cole to Uncle Johns Cider Mill, a wonderful apple orchard. I don't think we could get Cole to smile once while we were there because he was so overwhelmed by all the things to see. He had fun but it doesn't look like it on these pictures. He did enjoy his first donut, but did not enjoy the tart apple.

He's picking out the mum he wants.

That's the face from a tart apple.

We cracked up at this picture,
this was the closest thing to a
smile we could get all morning.
It's a face that screams, "My mom
and dad drug me here!"

He is mesmerized by the piano-
playing skeleton.

Visiting MY family in Louisville

It worked out nicely that the wedding was in Louisville, because we got to see my cousins Pat, Angie and Graham while we were in town. It was extra special because their foster child, Zachary, just arrived the day we got there. Zachary is an adorable little boy who loves to laugh and play.

This was a hard picture to get:
3 boys sitting still for 1 minute!

Graham is so good with Cole.
He loves making Cole laugh!

Spending time with family in Louisville

It was fun spending the long weekend with Justin's parents. Cole enjoyed seeing his grandparents. He got his first Tonka Truck from them as well as a book he loves.

Justin's aunt Karen is the lady in red.

Playing and hoping he doesn't
have to go to bed soon.

The wedding at Churchill Downs

The wedding and reception were both held at Churchill Downs. The wedding was outside on a balcony that over looked the track--super cool.

As a surprise to the bride and groom,
someone arranged to have the "official
bugler" of the Kentucky Derby play "My
Old Kentucky Home" and the famous
tune that calls the horses to the gate.
It was really neat to hear!!

Rehearsal Dinner

Justin's cousin was marrying a girl whose family lived on a farm with a lot of horses. Her parents let everyone pet a horse and if they wanted, ride the horse. Cole was o.k. with being on a horse, I was a little surprised. I thought he might be scared, but he wasn't.

only he knew he was getting a
