First time eating with a spoon

This morning Cole tried cereal for the first time. At first I think he was a little unsure of what the spoon was doing in his mouth. He mostly wanted to chew on it. I am sure it was the first of many messy meals with Cole. Thank goodness for bibs.

Lunch with coworkers

On Friday I had lunch with some of my friends from SPS. Cole joined us and he was the hit of the lunch. Almost everyone took turns holding him and he loved it. At the very end he fell asleep and he looked so cute.

Notice Cole, out like a light.

"Grandpa" Ed. He has made
all the babies in our office his
honorary grandkids for years.
Uncle Charles: this is the outfit
you gave him at the family shower.
He looks so cute, I love the floppy
ears on the puppy.

Cole loves tummy time now.
This was taken when we got home
from his doctor appt. He is now
just over 15 pounds and 25 inches.

I take these pictures of him in
his onesie to see how big he is getting.
When he was first home, he
would fit in the frame of the camera.
Now I have to back up to get him in.

He looks so grown up here, like
he is ready for school.

Happy 4 months!

Cole is 4 months old today, April 18th. We celebrated by going to the park and enjoying a beautiful day.

There's that deer in the headlight look!

Waiting for his back to be stronger
so he can sit up on his own.
"I've fallen over and I can't get up!"

The bib says it all.

Justin and Cole in their pajamas,
relaxing and watching the Masters.
No, he is not going fishing. He
is actually headed to his first
lacrosse game.

Cole's first Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. Cole was really good in church and Justin and I got to both sit in church for the entire service (something we had yet to do, one of us has usually been in the back walking with Cole). Then we went to have dinner with our friends Theresa and Cornell and their family.

Cole now sits with us at dinner,
only when you are this young do
you get permission to sit on the
table!

He looks guilty of something...

Cole's spring break in DC

April 6-10 was Cole's first spring break and we decided to visit Kevin and Cheryl again in DC. It was a very relaxing trip, but we got to do some fun things too. We watched MSU get into the final game of the tournament, we went into DC and saw the cherry blossoms which were at their peak and we went to the Museum of Natural History. These pictures are from the museum.

It's a little hard to see, but Justin
and Cole are in front of an
aquarium. Cole could have spent
the entire afternoon there, he was
mesmerized.

Seeing the cherry blossoms

Cole slept for most of the afternoon in DC,
but then he woke up as we were heading
back so we got to snap a few pictures of
him with the cherry blossoms.

Cole is ready for the big MSU game.
Go Spartans!

He actually turns these pages, it
almost looks like he is reading.
Just relaxing after a bath.

Dad and Cole sharing a nap.
One of the few times we can
sync our nap time with his.
