Sledding Fun

In the past week and a half, we have gotten probably two and a half feet of snow. Just this week we got about 8 inches Monday, 6 inches Wednesday and a few today. We figured this was the perfect time to introduce Cole to sledding on a snowy Michigan night. He loved being out in it and laughed the whole time.

He looks so little compared to
the snow.

Cole is playing with his Elmo tickle
hand that his cousin Graham helped
pick out for his birthday. It sings
and vibrates like it is tickling him and
he loves it and laughs at it.

We have a nearly naked baby
on the loose!

The funny story behind this sweater
is that he would not keep it zipped
up. We started calling him "Ladies
Man."

Thank goodness his head isn't
smaller or we'd be in trouble.

Playdate with Cole's friend Cooper.

Sorry this is sideways!
Cole managed to get himself
stuck under his table.

When he doesn't get something he
wants, he now lays down like this.

Or, he puts his head on the floor.

"I can't talk yet, but I need a cell phone"
He uses my old phone and dials numbers
and even has taken a couple pictures. He
smiles every time the recording comes on
telling him that there is no service on the phone
(as if the lady is talking to HIM). He even
holds it correctly, I didn't show him that.

All's better now!

Go Jayhawks!

The "seats" at the bottom of many
of our windows are the perfect size
for Cole's "bottom."

Cole has an infatuation with books.
He loves to get them off the shelf and
it actually looks like he is reading them!

In a tight spot

Cole is everywhere now. I find
him in spots I don't think he
could POSSIBLY fit into. He
does get stuck sometimes though.

Oglesby family dinner

While we were in Wichita, all the Oglesby side got together for a family dinner.

4 generations!! Cole, Justin,
Justin's mom, and Justin's
grandparents.

All of the grandkids together
in one picture!

Christmas at the Davis'

This year for Christmas, we decided to spend 10 days with Justin's family. After a little too much time in the Chicago airport, we finally got to Kansas a day late. Cole's first experience in an airport included an overnight stay. We had a great visit and were able to see a lot of family. Justin's cousin and her husband and daughter were even in town. Cole got to meet his great grandparents too.

Showing off Cole's new KU sweatshirt.

Justin's parents opening their
gift, a group picture from Kevin,
Cheryl, Justin, Cole and I. They
were very surprised!

Holding my new KU sweatshirt.

Grandma reading to Cole.

Way too much Christmas excitement,
he fell asleep before he had lunch.

We gave Kim a book of National
Parks for the traveling she will
do when she retires.

Cole with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Cheryl

Cole wasn't shy around Cheryl
at all, which is unusual for him.
She made him laugh and was
his new best friend.

Christmas at home

new KU sweatshirts!

I love Polish pottery and my mom
gave me a few pieces including this
one that I use as a sugar bowl.

Opening my penguin pajamas
from Justin. It was funny that
he bought those because I gave
him penguin pajamas too! Great
minds think alike.

Justin and his Star Wars talking
Pez dispenser. He collects them.

Enjoying birthday cake!

Cole with two of his favorite
ladies, Cyndi and Leah.

Can't stop eating, even to pose
for a picture.

It was worth the mess!!

Birthday party

Cole's first birthday party was a success, we had so much fun. We even had a "All-Star" theme (what else??). Many of Cole's friends came, Leah, Garrett, Hannah, Griffin, and Gray. He had so much fun eating his little cake, too.

Yeah for presents!

Cole had lots of help opening
presents.
