Put me in coach...

All Cole needs is a bat and a ball (and of course to be able to stand on his own) and he'd be ready to play.

Cole doesn't crawl forward yet,
but he seems to scoot himself
backward a lot.

He can now sit by himself, although
he still occasionally falls over.

Memorial Day weekend

My cousin Pat, his wife Angie and their son Graham visited over Memorial Day weekend. It was the first time they saw Cole. Graham enjoyed making Cole laugh. We all went to the Potter Park Zoo here in Lansing on Saturday.

Off to day care

Justin getting ready to take
Cole to day care. If Justin was
wearing shorts, they would
look like they are ready for golf.

Being goofy for the camera and
sticking his tongue out. Aren't
those little sandals the cutest?

Once again his hands and fingers
are in his mouth.

5 months old!

I have just had a vision of Cole
at 17 wanting a mohawk!

Another great face while eating!

Going to the East Lansing Art Fair

We took Cole to the East Lansing Art Fair. We also met up with Chris and Cyndi Montgomery and their girls and listened to Tommy Foster (a local favorite) sing.

Cole with Cyndi Montgomery.

Everything goes in Cole's mouth,
or at least he tries to get it in his
mouth. He mostly just drooled all
over this beach ball.

Cole loves green beans, isn't it
obvious??

Actually, he really likes green
beans.

He is posing for the camera
already. He looks so grown up.

First Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day and enjoyed it by spending the whole day with Cole and Justin. The morning started with Cole giving me a card with his hand prints inside, something I will keep forever. After church, we went to a nursery and Cole bought me a flowering crab apple tree. We hope to take a picture each year by the tree to show how big he is getting.

Cole still doesn't like napping in his
crib, but we tried anyway. He fussed
for most of the time and when we
went to pick him up, he had gotten
himself into the corner where he
rubbed his head until it looked like
he had teased it.
This is right after we got him out
of his crib. Notice the very upset
look on his face. he is NOT happy
with mom or dad right now.
In case I needed reminding,
Cole is wearing his t-shirt for
Mother's Day.

new tree.

Enjoying cereal!

Getting so big!

At about 4 1/2 months, Cole started to do some things on his own. He started sitting up on his own (for about 3 seconds before falling over), grasping toys and holding on to them and holding a bottle for himself.

Take the picture quick, before I fall over!

Taking a little cat nap!
