At the airport with Grandpa and Grandma Davis

Justin's parents left today. We had a wonderful visit with them. Here are a couple pictures from the airport.

The baptism party

This is the mural in the front of
the chapel. The baptism started
in the chapel, but then moved to
the font, and then the alter in
the main church.

Baptism ceremony

Pouring the water into the
baptism font.

Cole didn't mind having water
poured on him. He just thought
it was bathtime. At one point,
he actually smiled!

Cole's head is being rubbed with oil.

Once Cole was baptized, he is
dressed in his white outfit. It
was not easy dressing him while
being held.

Cole's godmother, Theresa, stepped
in to help get his outfit on. Cole
looks like he is about to fly away.

Beginning the baptism ceremony

Today, we had Cole baptized at our church, St. Thomas Aquinas. At this church, the baby only wears a diaper until he has been baptized (in case you were wondering why we decided not dress him today).
.
We are standing at the front of
the chapel. The deacon is asking
us Cole's name and our intention
(to have Cole baptized).

The deacon is placing oil on
Cole's chest.

Cole is being such a good little
boy during the ceremony.

Very proud and blessed parents!

I love being Cole's mom!

Trying on hats

With summer being here, Cole needs to get some new hats because he is outgrowing the one he has. Justin tried a few hats on him, of course Cole didn't have an opinion.

This hat says, "I'm ready for baseball"

This hat says, "Where's my fishing pole?"

Sailing

While Justin's parents were in town, on Saturday we went sailing with our friends the Riehls on their sailboat. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

Traci and Anna Riehl wth Cole

Cole would rather chew on the
lifevest than wear it. He did not
like wearing it.

Cole fell right asleep when Chad
held him. You can tell he has
had two babies.

Just playing around

This is the closest Abbey will
get to Cole. Cole loves Abbey
and he always laughs at her,
but she doesn't even pay
attention to him.

Just another happy picture!

More pictures from my birthday

Celebrating my birthday with friends

For my birthday, Justin invited some of our friends over for dessert. There were 5 little girls. The funniest part of the evening was when the girls got a little too close to a goose with her babies and she started chasing them. Their faces were priceless!
